Our lives are full of various commitments: work, taking care of loved ones, paying attention to physical health, and more! When faced with endless things that we need to get done, it's easy to start feeling exhausted and lose motivation-- and a great way to combat this is by establishing a regular self-care routine. Self-care is vital for maintaining emotional and mental well-being.

Self-care has become an increasingly hot topic, especially during times like this, but can be easily misunderstood: self-care isn't selfish, it's necessary. Self-care can come in many different forms: some popular ones include a proper skin care regimen, going for a walk in nature, or taking a nice bath, but it's important to look at self-care from a perspective of things you can do every day. 

Skin care is such a vital part of self-care because keeping your skin healthy is beneficial for both mind and body. We recommend a regular skin care routine both morning and night. It's important to start the day with a fresh face and a serum that protects against the harmful effects of skin stress caused by the inevitable daily exposure to UV radiation. The nighttime routine is focused on repair, so think of your skin as a sponge! You want to make sure it's again properly cleaned and toner prepped, and then it's ready to soak up the serum, moisturizer and eye treatment which will work their magic as you sleep.

When faced with stress or frustrations in daily life, self-care is a great method for dealing with it in a healthy way. Make sure you are getting enough sleep, don't forget to hydrate (which we can't stress enough) and be mindful of the food that you are putting into your body. These factors contribute greatly to your overall health, including your emotional health. Remember to make time for hobbies or activities in your life that fulfill you (this is a great time to take up that hobby you've been wanting to try) and simply just do things that take care of YOU in a healthy way!
